WATCH D.O.G.S

We're very excited to have our very own Watch D.O.G.S. program at M.L. Hartman Elementary.  Our program began on December 15, 2017, and we are very pleased with the support we have received thus far!

What is the Watch D.O.G.S. program?

M.L. Hartman Elementary is an active participant in a program that encourages fathers and/or father figures to become more engaged in their child's life by spending a day at the school volunteering in various areas of our school (classrooms, cafeteria, P.E., recess, etc).

Purpose

There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program:

  1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
  2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

We believe that all of us want the same things for our kids and these values unite us.

Why should YOU participate?

In exchange for your commitment to volunteer a full school day at M.L. Hartman Elementary, you will have the opportunity to experience a school day through the eyes of your child, interact with your child and his/her peers, and positively impact our school through your involvement.

Parent Volunteers:

Parents, guardians, and/or grandparents of a child that is enrolled at a Judson ISD campus who choose to volunteer are no longer required to complete the Volunteer application. They will be required to check-in using the RAPTOR System at the campus/location when visiting their child. Extended family members will also be required to check-in using the RAPTOR system.

The volunteer application will be for anyone not related to a child that is enrolled at Judson ISD, volunteering for more than a single event, student teachers, service center, or shared services agreement.

What do you need to do if you wish to participate?
