Ms. Rosalba Martinez

I am honored to be the School Counselor at Mary Lou Hartman Elementary School. 

I started my career in education as a High School Educational Assistant in Laredo, TX in 2001. I went from the Counselors' Secretary, to Attendance Clerk, to eventually student teaching. I taught KG-6th over the years, but I realized I loved what School Counselors did. I have been at Hartman since 2020, and I absolutely LOVE my job!

I love working with students on their Social Emotional and Mental Health. I also have a degree in Clinical Mental Health and I look forward to serving my community as a Licensed Professional Counselor. 

I have 3 kids who I live for. My son and 2 daughters are my world! They have taught me the true meaning of resilience as they grew up as military kids. We've had the great experience of  living in Virginia, Hawaii and Colorado (where I also taught), but there's nothing better than being HOME in TEXAS.
