Ms. Kim Brown
Educators are role models for students; thus, should demonstrate respect, honesty, empathy, responsibility, promptness, and a desire for learning. My personal philosophy is: to instill good morals and values in all children; respect all children and their families’ cultures, ethnicities, race, beliefs, and structure; treat each child fairly; have families, communities, and educators work as one; remain a lifelong advocator of children; and to maintain a constant fun, loving, safe, and positive environment for each child.
I was born in Dallas, Texas, but eventually raised in Pearland, Texas where I graduated from Pearland High School. I attended San Jacinto Community College and earned my Associates in Business Administration. I then moved to San Antonio, Texas in the summer of 2002 to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio. I graduated cum laude with my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and minored in Mathematics. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I went back to The University of Texas in San Antonio for Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policies. I am currently certified Early Childhood to 4th grade; English is a Second Language; Gifted and Talented; Principal.
We are the educators, motivators, inspirers, and disciplinarians for students. What we believe as educators will be reflected in the growth of each child. By joining teachers, families, communities, and administrators together as one, we are building a positive foundation for all students to succeed. As an educator, it is my duty to help students reach their full potential and gain the knowledge and skills that they will require in their daily lives to be successful members of a global society.
